Helping people realize that they can do things they never thought they could or haven't been able to do for years is one of the best things about being a fitness coach. To me it's so much more than just helping people lose weight, tone muscles, look and feel better, although those are important. Helping people gain back more functionality in their lives and preparing them for whatever physical and mental challenges life throws at them is even more important to me...and should be to you. While the health and medical communities will treat you with pharmacalogical intervention and side effects. We treat with fitness, with the side benefit of better health.

The CrossFit approach to fitness is to train to be physically and mentally prepared for anything in life. And I mean ANYTHING! You never know what you might face at any given moment in time. Will you be ready for it? It may be a life-threatening situation or something much more benign. Doesn't really matter what it is...life demands completion of task! Will you be ready? With CrossFit type of exercise program that question will most likely be, yes! At least you'll be more prepared to handle the unknown and unknowable. Oh, and in the process you're likely experience lower body fat, blood pressure, cholesterol, toned muscles and look and feel better.

The changes in my life because of CrossFit are amazing! Those of you who know me know that I am a type one diabetic and I am on the insulin pump, Insulin actually stores fat and as you can imagine, makes it VERY difficult to lose weight. Well between going on the insulin pump and CrossFit I have lot over 30 pounds, over 20% body fat and almost 30 inches. My Endocrinologist is TOTALLY amazed at my results. In fact after my CrossFit level one certification in December, I went in for a routine appointment and she told me that I was not the same person that came in to see her a year earlier and was more interested in talking about the gym that Brian and I are opening because there were no concerns about my health. She is at the point where she wants me to talk to other diabetics about exercise and the changes that it can make in our lives that she is willing to recommend, almost write a prescription, for her other patients to come and see us. I hope to have her at the Gym for our opening!
I have done so many things in my life that I never thought I would be able to do again. One of the most fun was going rock climbing for the first time. I also did get my Level one certification and I am getting my CrossFit kids certification in September. Who would have thought Taralu a trainer? I sure would not have J Friends and Family can hardly believe the changes that I have gone through and I can honestly say I would not have made these change with out Brian or CrossFit!
If you want to see results and live a better life, you have got to try CrossFit!

I was introduced to Crossfit in 2009 as a means to train for adventure racing in Northern California. I fell in love with this type of training immediately. Nothing I had tried before had ever made be feel like I was a true athlete. The workouts are designed to improve your strength and cardio through short intense workouts. Better yet, because the workouts are constantly varying you’ll never get bored. I decided to start coaching as a means to give back to the community that has changed my life. Helping others along their fitness journey and opening their eyes to see that each one of us is an athlete, strong, and capable of more than we give ourselves credit for is the best part of my role as a coach. 3, 2, 1…. Let’s go!

I've been a martial artist for years. I originally tried CrossFit in 2013 because I wanted to do something that would help catapult my training to the next level. After the first class I knew there was something special and different about CrossFit training. I instantly fell in love with it and was hooked. The challenge, the friendships that I have developed, the camaraderie, sense of community and the results I what I love about CrossFit and CrossFit Full Throttle.

I like to put the FUN in FUNctional fitness. Especially with the kiddos. Kids have an unlimited amount of energy and training them to have fun with fitness and teaching them no nonsense, real life self defense at an early age will give them the building blocks to a lifetime of fitness and health. CrossFit Full Throttle is committed to safety, encouragement and teaching you and your kids to be champions in life.

I have been a personal trainer since 2002 and have coached kids softball, basketball and volleyball. I'm a level 3 krav maga instructor and have taught both kids and adults in that discipline. I look forward to training and teaching your kid.
